About Us
 ALTN Mission

  The purpose of the Active Living and Transportation Network (ALTN) is: 

·         To encourage, facilitate and research ways for people to integrate physical activity into their daily routine
·         To stimulate a connection to and an awareness of the environment at large through the use of active   transportation
·         To strengthen the relationship within the greater Chattanooga community through action, research and practice. ALTN is made possible through generous funding from the Lyndhurst Foundation.
·         To promote walking and bicycle riding activities in Chattanooga through programs, research and environmental supports.
·         To shape policy and culture through activities.
     To attract and direct national, regional and local resources to increase active living and transportation efforts  in Chattanooga.

 Philip Pugliese, Director
·         Philip Pugliese, MBA, was appointed as Chattanooga’s first Bicycle Coordinator in 2005 and has been involved in promoting active transportation at the local, regional and national level for over eight years.  He currently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals and represents this organization to the National Complete Streets Coalition. 

Stefanie deOlloqui, Associate Director
·         Stefanie deOlloqui, MS, CHES, currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Health and Human Performance at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. 

Kassi Webster, CDC Public Health Prevention Specialist
·         Kassi Webster, MPH, will be working with Active Living Transportation Network through a fellowship program with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. During her 2-year assignment, she will be working with ALTN and partners on active living program planning, implementation and evaluation.
